The latest initiative from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MPSV) offering financial support for digital training brings a great opportunity for those who want to invest in their future and development in IT. Accessible education is the way to a more inclusive society, increasing competitiveness and fostering innovation. Now anyone (whether employed, student or unemployed) who resides - and has previously worked - in the Czech Republic has a unique opportunity to receive up to 50,000 CZK for IT education. What's important to emphasize is that you must apply for this support at latest 30 days before the respective course starts. How does it work and what does this mean for students of our courses? Continue reading to discover in detail the entire process, from the application phase to payment selection, ultimately leading to the receipt of financial support:
This financial support by MPSV can be used for both the Fullstack Web Development Coding Bootcamp, Frontend Web Development Coding Bootcamp, and Data Science Coding Bootcamp and can only be combined with the Pay Later with 50 000 Kč support payment plan. The support is also available for Intro to Programming and Python&SQL (Fundamentals of Data Science) Course. We already offer our students a Pay Later Plan, which allows students on a budget to attend the course without stressing about finances. Combined with a possible contribution of up to 50,000 CZK (payable after successful course completion), the participant can get very attractive payment terms. Here you can find all payment plan options for our coding bootcamps:
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
This support offer is available to anyone who is interested in learning, resides and has worked in the Czech Republic. This could be unemployed people registered with the Labour Office ("Úřad práce"), employees, people running a business or currently economically inactive people such as parents on parental leave or students. According to the MPSV, it is a simple process without unnecessary bureaucracy and the whole support can be processed online. All information on this support, including how to apply, is available on the I'm on a Course page from the MPSV.
The participant is required to pay a mandatory minimum co-payment of 18% of the final course price (82% will be paid by the Labour Office ("Úřad práce")). However, the maximum amount that the Labour Office can grant to a participant over three years is up to a total of 50,000 CZK. The Labour Office transfers this grant after the participant has successfully completed this course (see conditions below). The Labour Office has a deadline for approval of the client's application, i.e. 30 calendar days prior to the course. Therefore, if you are interested in a near-term course and would like to take advantage of this support, please apply as soon as possible. Read below to learn how it works step by step. 👇
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The first step is to select a course and apply on our website. Once you're accepted to the course, we then invite you to choose a payment option. When selecting your payment option, please ensure that you select the Pay Later with 50 000 Kč support . Afterwards, you transfer the first instalment as per the payment request you receive. In the meantime, you can apply for the support via the Labour Office website: I'm on a course website from the MPSV. Keep in mind that Labour Office ("Úřad práce") must approve your application before the course. The deadline to apply via their system is 30 calendar days before the first day of the course.
The funds (up to 50,000 CZK) are only released by the Labour Office after the course ends and if you have acquired an attendance certificate and satisfied any other conditions defined by the Labour Office. In case you did not satisfy the conditions, you pay for the course yourself. Please read carefully all the conditions as prescribed by the Labour Office on their official website, including their FAQ. It's your responsibility to ensure that you fully satisfy these conditions and that you understand how the process works.
SUMMARY OF HOW IT WORKS STEP BY STEP:
Step 1: Sign up for the course of your choice
- Web Development Coding Bootcamp
- Data Science Coding Bootcamp
- Frontend Web Development Coding Bootcamp
- Other courses
Step 2: Select a payment plan called Pay Later with 50 000 Kč support (this is the only payment plan that can be combined with the MPSV support, as the support is payable after the course ends) and transfer the first instalment (deposit) as per the instructions in the payment plan
Step 3: Apply for the financial support on the I'm on a course website from the MPSV. It is important to mention here that the MPSV system is only used to apply for grants, or it is not possible to apply for our courses only through this system without step 1. Remember that the Labour Office closes the application process 30 calendar days before the course starts. Hence, make sure that you apply on their website ahead of time. Take into account also unexpected technical errors or similar. Also, we are required to approve you within their system as well, hence do not apply last minute as we might not be able to process it (especially if you apply in the evening on the last day of the deadline 🙂). To find our bootcamps within the MPSV system, you can either search by course name, by organisation, or enter the course code:
- Web Development Coding Bootcamp, course code: 142 023 013 759
- Data Science Coding Bootcamp, course code: 142 023 013 820
- Frontend Web Development Coding Bootcamp, course code: 142 024 015 911
- Intro to Programming Course, course code: 142 023 014 919
Step 4: Here's how the Pay Later with 50 000 Kč support works:
- Deposit and MPSV payment: To confirm your place, you pay the first instalment. As per the MPSV conditions, you pay 18% of the course fee if the remaining 82% amounts to up to 50000 CZK. Else, you pay the amount that is extra. In any case, the max amount that the Labour Office pays is 50 000 CZK. Let's explain this using two hypothetical scenarios:
- The total course fee is 61 000 CZK. As a deposit (payable at the time of your admission) you pay 11 000 CZK. After the course (if you have satisfied the Terms of the Labour Office), the Labour Office pays the remaining 50 000 CZK.
- The total course fee is 100 000 CZK. As a deposit (payable at the time of your admission) you pay 50 000 CZK. After the course (if you have satisfied the Terms of the Labour Office), the Labour Office pays the remaining 50 000 CZK.
- Non-compliance with Labour Office: keep in mind that only once the course is finished and you have acquired your attendance certificate as well as satisfied all conditions defined by the Labour Office, then the Labour Office releases your pre-approved funds. In case you did not satisfy the conditions, you pay for the course yourself.
Since our first courses in 2016, Coding Bootcamp Praha's mission has been to provide affordable education. We believe that we only grow and become better as a society when as many of its members as possible have the skills to further their development. With the increasing number of digital technologies and digitalization in all areas of life, it is essential that people acquire the skills that will enable them to work successfully and efficiently with technology and digital tools. Providing financial support for digital learning increases the chances of people from different social classes and regions to access modern technologies and learning resources. This helps to create a more inclusive society and reduces inequalities in society. We are happy to enable even more people to study and reach their full potential.
